He and his team provide mobile veterinary care for farm animals throughout Eastern CT and most of Rhode Island.  Their primary focus is pet and hobby livestock\, and also do home euthanasia for dogs and cats. What clinical signs you should be aware of and what you can do.\nPresented by: Charity J. Uman\, MS DVM\nDr. Charity Uman is the Emergency Department Head at Veterinary Specialists of Connecticut. She is originally from South Florida. After college she moved to Vermont and fell in love with New England. She always knew she wanted a career with animals and completed a Masters Degree in Animals and Pubic Policy from Tufts University. She later attended veterinary school starting at St. George’s University and graduated from Louisiana State University.  After veterinary school\, she completed a Small Animal Rotating Internship at Angell Animal Medicine Center in Boston\, MA where she was awarded the Sharon Drellich Memorial Award for professionalism\, collegiality and compassion.  In 2021\, Dr Uman was chosen as the DVM360 Veterinary Hero in Emergency Medicine. While Dr. Uman will always consider the South Florida beaches her happy place\, she loves the many green spaces in Connecticut and all that has to offer.
